L’Isola Bianco from the wine-growing region of Sicily presents itself in the glass in a bright pale yellow. This Italian cuvée exhibits wonderfully noble notes of lemon, mirabelle plum, pear, and apple in the glass. Additionally, hints of other fruits accompany these aromas.
On the palate, L’Isola Bianco from Hibiscus unfolds pleasantly dry, full-bodied, and aromatic. This well-balanced white wine is characterized by an extremely velvety texture on the tongue. In the finish, this white wine from the Sicily wine region impresses with remarkable length. Once again, hints of apricot and lemon come through. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the flinty soils are added.
Vinification of L’Isola Bianco from Hibiscus
This balanced Italian white wine is crafted from the grape varieties Catarratto, Grillo, and Inzolia. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Sicily. The vines roots reach deep into the flinty soils here. When they are perfectly ripe, the grapes for L’Isola Bianco are harvested exclusively by hand, without the aid of coarse and less selective harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. The subsequent fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by a maturation for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.

This Italian wine should be best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to spaghetti with caper-tomato sauce, pumpkin casserole, or leek tortillas.
